Our Company

Lightglove, Inc, is a privately held Virginia company that has created - LtWv.
The company evolved out of Harmonics Research Labs which was formed to
create a better way for people to interface with computers and electronics.
The hallmark of this endeavor is the extensive Intellectual Property not only in
the USA but also around the world as LtWv speaks the international language
of gestures.

In 2009, the Founders of Lightglove were inducted into the World Technology
Network as Fellows in the category of Entertainment.  The technology was also
nominated in the category of Communications - Corporate.

Our Inspiration

Bruce Howard, our CTO, watched  his mother suffer from severe carpal tunnel
syndrome.  Born out of a desire to ease his mother's pain and millions like her,
Bruce decided to figure out a better way for people to control the electronics
and gadgetry around them.

Although we are now focusing on the gaming sector, the goal has remained to
reduce the occurrence of painful ailments such as repetitive stress disorders or
(RSDs) that affect so many.  In addition, reducing absenteeism associated with
these ailments will save corporations billions in lost productivity and absentee
related expenses.

Our Technology

Ours is a disruptive core technology which is based on optical reflectance or in
other words, light reflects off of your hand and the motion is read by your wrist
device. While wearing a light matrix on your wrist, you only need to wave your
hand and fingers and the light on your wrist reads the gestures.  This allows
you to control your electronics as well as play cool games.

There are many advantages of wearing a device like a watch that allows  you
to interact with your computer, entertainment system or smart home hub. The
operating code for this new human interface platform was written to be cross
platform compliant, and therefore only requires a thin software layer (driver) in
order to integrate the technology into various host systems and applications.
